The difference between advice and accountability.
There is no shortage of consulting firms that will tell you what to do. The shortage is in firms that will stay with you while you do it.
Catalyst Consult was built on a specific frustration: the pattern of strategy engagements that produce excellent documentation, generate genuine executive enthusiasm, and then quietly disappear into a shared drive. The plan was sound. The implementation never happened. The firm had already moved to the next client.
We built a different model.
We have held the seat. That changes everything.
Our founder has served as Chief People Officer, sat at the executive table, managed board relationships, led reductions in force, navigated acquisitions, and built programs that had to work in the real world — with real budget constraints, real culture dynamics, and real people whose livelihoods depended on getting it right.
That experience does not make us infallible. It makes us honest. We know what works, what sounds good but doesn't survive contact with reality, and where the implementation risk actually lives. We tell you that — clearly, directly, and early.
What we are not.
We are not a large firm that will assign a senior partner to your pitch and a junior team to your project. Every engagement at Catalyst Consult is led by a senior practitioner.
We are not a framework shop. We do not have a proprietary methodology we apply regardless of your context. We have judgment — and we apply it to your specific situation.
We are not interested in dependency. Our success metric is an organization that is more capable when we leave than when we arrived. If we are doing our job, you need us less over time, not more.
Strategy is the beginning. Implementation is the work. Management is how it becomes permanent.
Catalyst Consult engagements are designed to partner through all three stages. We do not hand off at the strategy stage. We do not declare victory when the plan is approved. We stay through the hard part — the change management, the resistance, the refinements, the moments when the organization wants to revert — and we help you hold the line.
That is what we mean by transformation that takes hold.
If you've been burned by consulting before, we get it.
Let's have an honest conversation about what your organization actually needs — and whether we are the right fit to help you get there.
